Hi , just abit of advice sorted ... ...

my 3/4 whippet 1/4 bedlington had an accidental mating last year , she as since had 3 seasons and i have left her , i was thinking about a * planned* mating with something racey , is this a bad idea? as it was only last year she had a litter , i said to myself i would only breed from her once , but that was before she got caught from the JRT x BORDER LAKLELAND which fathered her pups . she is 18'' and is a very hard worker . the downside i suppose is shes going to miss first part of this season i suppose , and as for pups people will be bringing on there pups which they have brought up ready for the season to begin . and fellow hunters will be out lamping ect or whatever form of hunting they do . i dont want people to think im a (peddler) because im not , which is why i have posted this . any help thanks ... ...

Is it not possible to wait till her next heat so that you can work her this coming season ? Also depends what you want the pups for.... if your keeping something surely it would be better keeping a 'summer' pup rather than having all the mess and upbringing during the dark, wet and cold winter months. Healthwise, a litter now wont bother her, just consider the reasons for breeding....do you have enough work, space or time for another litter ?

yes it is possible :) , thats why i posted to ask for advice , maybe your right nikey , also like i said people will be to busy in there activites to bring on a winter pup , cheers :victory:

my bitch is pictured in the FAO MOLLY post in this section , with a pup from her accidental mating , and the dog would either be a laguna bred whippet , 21 '' .. or a 1st cross bedlington whippet rough coated ...
