ferreterno1 0
ive recently bought a larsen and have now been given a maggie call bird, twice this week ive gone to check it to find a pair of crows trying to attack the bird through the wire but they wont go in, its a top entry trap, am i right in saying crows need a side entry? any help would be apreciated. red dog 3
I've caught crows with side and top entry, so in my case it didn't make any difference, i know some people prefer a side entry for crows the choice is up to you. Quote Link to post
Guest The Big Fish
ferreterno1, you must be pretty close to the center of the crows territory, suggest you try moving the trap a little, you might find as you get even closer they will take the bait and go in. Have a look around and see if you can see a nesting site, put the trap right under a nest and bang! youve got them. I found no difference with the top opening and side opening traps when catching crows. But sometimes you will get a bugger that just wont be caught, different tactics then have to be employed Quote Link to post
