CROWS AND LARSENS

Recommended Posts

ive recently bought a larsen and have now been given a maggie call bird, twice this week ive gone to check it to find a pair of crows trying to attack the bird through the wire but they wont go in, its a top entry trap, am i right in saying crows need a side entry?

any help would be apreciated.

ferreterno1, you must be pretty close to the center of the crows territory, suggest you try moving the trap a little, you might find as you get even closer they will take the bait and go in. Have a look around and see if you can see a nesting site, put the trap right under a nest and bang! youve got them.

I found no difference with the top opening and side opening traps when catching crows. But sometimes you will get a bugger that just wont be caught, different tactics then have to be employed :ninja:
