working two dogs off the slip???

Recommended Posts

I was planning on taking just my old bitch out for an hr tonight, but my young bitch wasn't having it an screamed the kennel down while I was loading the van up....so the crafty little twat got her way and was soon on the front seat watching for anything moving in the double beam of my lights!!!! I got to the place I was going and had the old girl off the slip, young one on it.....long story short, blanked lol so on the way back to the truck I let them both off and they just walk to heel.....enter a field, quick shine, see a rabbit.....told them both to sit and hissed the old bitch and the young bitch waited while she walked out ......until it started running and no chance of stopping her then! But got me thinking if anyone can work there dogs like that and totally trust the other dog not to run in??

On the night I tried another place had a good run on a rabbit and thought call it a night.....back to truck and start driving down a one way track.....car coming the other way that stops in the path and the front doors open!! I thought I was in trouble as there was no way out and I couldn't see shit with there high beams and just see two shadows approaching the truck.....turns out to be two coppers lol turns out someone had seen my truck going down the road and reported fly tippers!! One went off for a look in the car down the track while the other checked me and truck out.....so far all good.....then asks what I'm doing, tell him out rabbiting and he is sound, saying it hurts no one, does no harm etc.... so where waiting for his mate and I'm hoping to fook kunt has tipped down the road or I'm gonna have to prove my innocence!! Luckily all was clear and free to go!!

One thing that made me laugh was when I was walking the old girl across land she hasn't been over for about a yr and half she still knew every gap in the hedge and which gates we were going over or not!!
