F*ckwit jailed.

There has to be the rule of law. Period. But that law must always remain fair, reasonable, just, consistent, transparent & be applied appropriately. In cases where it's wrong, it must be remain challengable.

I find it encouraging that this kind of behaviour is treated robustly. But equally, its very discouraging to see it applied inconsistently. With regard to the comment above regarding - those who demonstrate with plaques & slogans saying 'Death to British troops' & the like. That's equally unacceptable behaviour, causing offence & public outrage. That should be dealt with equally robustly. After all the Sheffield student who urinated on the city senotaph was jailed for his behaviour.... (I personally think, in that case, he should have been awarded an enlistment for a few years, to help him modify his thinking.... That would be a conclusion affording him the opportunity to repay the debt, as service to the nation, while learning first hand what price was & is paid for the freedoms we enjoy. It would have also reduced the burden to the public purse, incurred with sending him to prison. Or is that just too much common sense thinking???)

If groups or individuals are unwilling to recognise & respect our laws, our culture & our way of life, with decency & compassion, then... As in this case, they should incur the penalty for that. Regardless of their religious beliefs. Hopefully one day, we will have a government that's bold enough to administer justice more consistently.
