Guest world.hunters Posted June 13, 2007 Report Share Posted June 13, 2007 took storm out, let him have a run around. i kept him off lead most time and he is very good always staying close by, i took rifle to see his reaction off the lead with shot game i stalk up on a crow with pup walking at side of me off the lead i then took aim and dropped the crow to the gound, storm did not take off straight after it untill i was sure it was dead and i then gave the command "get it" he walked over picked it up and as he walk towards me with it i carried on walking away and he carried it, he didnt want to hand it over straight away but it wasnt to bad at all, i was very impressed with him and hope he continues to progress. what is your views on taking a pup out for this type of learning??????? i have also read books that reccomend this and goes on to help along the dogs retrieving of rabbits and so on cheers W.H Quote Link to post
