Hi whizzie, it turned up today, took it o the basement turned the lights off and tried it out lol I'm really impressed so far, have you tried it out in the field yet? What's the eye shine like?

Hi Keith, yeah, I've tried my unit now, I've found it to be brilliant. I keep having to adjust to focus on the Bresser, I've found with it slung around my neck the movement with walking causes the focus to adjust a bit. But it is a superb piece of kit & I'm happy with my investment. I had a mega good weekend, the best one for some time. The Mrs has got "man flu" (I doubt she'll survive!!!) )) So I was sent packing.... It's unusual to get three passes for the weekend! Lol.

 

I went out at 10 AM on Saturday morning, and stayed out on my permission until about 4.30. I got a couple of nice full up rabbits, and a 3/4 grown rabbit, & then a grey squirrel for the bag. I popped home for a bite to eat and refuel, and went backup at 7 PM for lamping session until midnight. I took another three rabbits and a very nice brown hare. I got up on Sunday, checked on the welfare of her indoors and was sent packing again! So I went back up to my permission from 12 PM till 4:30 again & took another 2 nice rabbits!

 

I found the eye shine to be absolutely fine, even out to 60 & yds. I put a new set of Duracell batteries in it and carried a spare set in my pocket. I used it for about five hours plus, And that's with the IR. It's still on the first set of new batteries.

 

Great weekend, freezer full. Sod tescos!
