wide-boy 0
hi folks my mum has just taken on a 3 year old cocker bitch, she has never been worked and pretty much seen the inside of a bedsit all her life. i took her out for a walk today and she seemed keen, alot of scenting and quartering. im not expecting to make her into a field trial champion, if i can get her to hunt, mark, retrieve and retrieve from water i would be over the moon. any advise on how to go about it, i have tried to get her playing with a ball but she is not that bothered Quote Link to post

danspence2012 5
a few thing towards the end of this topic you may find helpful too http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/topic/259778-lack-of-enthusiasm/ even if you use a few of the exercises. but start basic almost like a puppy.. old dogs do learn new tricks.. if any thing it may be easyer as puppyness has gone from the dog.. keep us posted..
