Foster Home Required for a 10 YO Bull/Greyhound x Deerhound

Recommended Posts

Hello all, I'm a rather infrequent visitor to the forum but I've a friend who's in a bit of a desperate situation and I was wondering if anyone here could help..

My friend recently lost his job of twenty years (under the most ridiculous circumstances which I won't go into now). And with his job he lost his (and his family's) home. He kept four lurchers, three pockets and the big dog. All the smaller lurchers have been re-housed (two permanently which broke his heart and one temporarily).

The big dog is a fair handful. He's been worked quite regularly. Saying that, with someone in control he's a lovely dog.

My mate's in the process of sorting 'things' out. They're currently housed in temporary accommodation in Middlesex that doesn't allow pets.

He's looking for someone to help with medium term accommodation (probably 4-6, maybe 8, weeks). Anyone here able to help or know anyone who could? I really don't think the dog would cope with being in kennels for that long!

Thanks for reading...

SP - I would, the big dog gets on great with my Oudi (that's them in the photo up there ^\) but unfortunately garden for a big house and I'm not sure how well he'd get on with my employers dogs - although as the man of the house doesn't like their King Charles Spanner it might not be such a bad thing if he ate it!

KH - It would probably best if he's homed with no other dogs, or maybe mature bitches... Although with a strong 'master' he'd be fine anywhere.
