Bootsha 1,306
Thanks for that Rich, i'll try that next year. I will start them off in my shed next time, but it was a bit of a last minute thing to be honest this time, i put spuds, peas, beans, parsnips, onions, carrots , beetroot, radish, lettuce. probe to much but next year i'll make a bigger plot and put less in. I put the spuds too far apart this time, used up to much room. Next year, after all the manure is in, there'll be spuds, beans, cabbage, cauliflower and sprouts perhaps. I'll be back to pick your brains from time to time mate if you dont mind, good advice is always welcome and appreceated. atb B

Tiercel 6,986
When I had the two allotments, I found the best sellers were the runner beans and bunches of beetroot. I used to put up 200 canes of runner beans (enorma) and around 500 beetroot plants ( Pablo F1). I sold them to a small shop and paid my rent and seed bills for the year. Funnily enough I used D T Brown as well and could not fault them. I would order for a few plot holders and they would pack the seeds seperately for each order. That tunnel is really taking shape with you. Are you using it just for starting off plants? TC
TWOTWOTHREE 152
Hi TC I'm going to use one to start off and the other for toms, cucumber etc with so much space to fill up, the green houses soon get full to burst with seedlings and pottings on,but one tunnel is going to be just for growing,if there's a space to grow something in its usually filled up lol don't like wasted space and unfortunately this year it's been in avoidable with the bad rains,,there's nowt better than fresh vag mate Atb
