Lewis Ste 245
I haven't had many trips out lately but I managed to get out tonight while my mam and sister decided to bath the horses (not sure why because we have just had a massive thunder storm) all I had was the BSA supersport to take out as my s16 is over at my girlfriends house. But anyway I met them there with my gun and when to see if the sights were still it and they weren't so after an annoying 20mins I got them sorted. I headed into the cow sheds where the ferrel pigeons but had no luck there because i was abit rusty with the springer so I had a walk round and saw some woodies in the field so I walked round to where my mam was and walked up the hedge. Trying to concentrate on woodies a rabbit shot into the main warren so I snuk through the fence and the woddies had fecked off, great! I go to walk down to the gate and theres a 3/4 sized Dow sat next to the tire ring. It was 30yards away so I tried my luck and got down to 20yards and tuck the standing shot I didn't fancy getting my jeans wet. I tuck the shot and up it went with a kick and jump and back down stone dead. I decide I'd go have a wonder round for a few more ferrels but fluffed a couple of shots but the ferrets will be happy with the one as the kits or now wondering round the run. This permission was hit with mixy about 5-6months ago and is now starting to built back up so one for the ferrets isn't going to hurt. I will stick a pic up with the supersport and rabbit but I also took a video trying to show me gutting the rabbit the way ghost maker did and will try and upload that when I work out how to. Mawders 595
Lewis I look forward to the pics mate, the super sport was my first ever riffle back in the 90's and many squirrels and rabbits fell to it, awesome little rifles! Quote Link to post
Lewis Ste 245
It was my first rifle off my dad a couple of years back an a good starter gun it's taught me a fair bit about shooting. I'm in two minds weather to keep it or not when I upgrade it seem they don't build them like they used to tho Lewis Quote Link to post
Mawders 595
Never get rid of it mate, your first rifle is worth more in the collection through fond memories than any monetary value, I wish I had kept mine all those years ago, fond memories! Quote Link to post
