David K 172 Posted June 1, 2012 Report Share Posted June 1, 2012 I have a couple of breeds that have gone out on the grass for the first time today, Wessex Supreme and Farm Ranger both fast growing broiler type but well able to free range. Supposed to reach around 7 lb mark in about 12 weeks with the Farm ranger taking a few weeks longer. First time rearing meat birds for me but when looking into types to try these where reccomended as good tasting, free rangers. I will know by the end of July if they taste good, they have done fine over the last five weeks and are growing well. Got them from C and B poultry in Galway and they delivered them at a few days old. This is their website http://www.cbpoultry.com/ The white ones are the Wessex and the brown are the Farm Ranger.
