west country warrior 0
Guys got a wildcat moderator for my tikka a couple of weeks back, but didnt have the rifle with me at the time. So the dealer asked me to ring through my barrel outer diameter so they could cut the right diameter collar to fit... This is done and now have the collar fitted. My question is: My barrel outer diameter is 17.5mm (measured with a vernier at the correct point) and the collar has come with a 21mm bore, leaving a big gap, is this correct? I thought the idea was it fitted snuggley inorder to help take the flex out of all that weight hanging off the end of your barreland steady it against recoil etc.. Any one shed some light on this please chris Quote Link to post

Hawkeye. 26
if the barrel measures 17.5mm then the hole in the collar should be 17.5mm. have you fired it at a paper target? If you have , I bet you can't get a close grouping. Had the same problem myself a few yrs ago with a PES mod Quote Link to post
