Guest norseman
just checked my jills ears today and found they had browny/red spots inside, was hoping somebody on here could clear this up for me, is it a sign of mites or more than likely just dirt. she seems fine though, not acting any different. just curious. cheers lads atb. joe14 98
Dark crust in ferrets ears is a sign of ear mites. The beaphar stuff treats ear mites. My vet told me a few drops of olive oil regular will prevent em. Edited April 28, 2012 by joe14 Quote Link to post
spazzy paddy 127
you can use the same stuff that you use on cats think its called otadex (brand name) ive used similar and not had earmite in my ferret for 20 odd years. Quote Link to post
ferret100 47
Seems like ear mites, might be best to treat your ferret for ear mites regardless of if you're unsure, it will do no harm and prevent matters from getting worse. Atb. Quote Link to post
