open season 21
I have been thinking of getting my lad who is 12 an airrifle to use when he is with me as he loves to plink with my springer only its just that bit to big for him,to hold on his own, so i hold the rifle while he pulls the trigger but he loves it like father like son ay I have been thinking of a BSA METEOR as this was the best little rifle when i was a kid that ever hit the market, both me and my mates all had one and spent many a fantastic hour during the summer holidays plinking glass bottles over our specialy dug pit to catch the broken glass i never forget the hollow thud of the pellet hitting the glass bottles one after the other, then restacking the shelf for the next round of lead b---dy hell sorry guys drifted of into my past there lol felt good for a minuet then. Any way so i thought i would start my lad off on one of these so he can get the feel of a springer on his own before he eventually moves on to a pcp so he can go through trillions of pellets trying to hit his target bit like a learning curve really Got to try the recoil before you move onto the super smooth accuracy of the pcp LOL Quote Link to post

open season 21
yee bud i had thought of the 25 or 30 to be honest just worried he might not be able to reach the trigger properly the meteor i had years ago was really accurate to be honest and this was way past 30 yards infact i couldnt believe how accurate it was at such a distance the shot was taken by a friend resting on a mud hill. but that dont mean that every ones is accurate bud may be its leaded up in the barrel or may be it doesnt like the type of pellets bud but i agree with you they are a great gun good luck with it Quote Link to post
