Pole cat obviously you have'nt read this and it does!! matter who was in charge of SAC's at the time as the last director (the guy who was in chrge) was a waste of feckin space !! Your right the law in Scotland is different thats the only thing you've said that made sense!! What!! is the same are the details of the insurance policy no-matter where you reside in the UK Re- the questions you aske me about my honesty and integrity and wether I would stand loyal and true to friends why have'nt you replied to my respose on that matter?? and what the feck's that all about??

Message from Ian Clark, the Director of SACS

Poley - at the moment I’m far too busy getting ‘dangerous’ dogs returned to their owners and fighting with the police (to stop them taking legally held guns off our members for the slightest excuse) to get directly involved in this thread, but I want you and everyone else who is reading this to know the TRUE facts.

I can’t speak for anything our previous Director did, but I took over this job in January 2006, and one of the first things I did was sort out the insurance policy to MY satisfaction. I knew nothing about your case, so I assume it happened before that.

Now the policy DOES cover legal expenses for charges brought under the Dangerous Dogs Act, in Scotland, England or anywhere else. It covers legal expenses for charges brought under ANY of the Wildlife & Countryside or similar legislation - there are NO exclusions, so badger offences ARE covered.

The Public Liability insurance covers anything for which a member is liable - even vet bills for a dog that your dog injures.

The insurance covers you for anything that happens AFTER you join, but there is no point in waiting until something happens then trying to join and expect the insurance company to fork out - they are NOT stupid.

To me, it is simple common sense for anyone who is involved in ANY type of country sport to be a member NOW before something happens to them.

If there is anything in that information you don’t understand, or if there is anyone else out there who wants to find out if a particular thing is covered by the insurance, the safe way is to contact ME, nor rely on gossip or second-hand stories. I’m always happy to speak to individual members, either by phone on 01698 885206 or by email on sacs@netherholm.sol.co.uk

Yours in sport

Ian Clark

You would be better off asking other peoples opinions regarding my honesty or integrity, you know me!! what do you think?? I don't represent anyone but myself!! Why ask the question, and whose the friend??

It all sounds pretty cryptic??

Regarding the original post!! I'll get Ian Clark the Director of SAC's to respond and I'll ask Tom Cruikshank (SAC'S Legal Advisor) if he'll respond and!! what the legal posistion was in this case Can you confirm that the owner of the dog that died!! took ill and suffered a heart attack at the same incident If the incident happened more than a year ago?? I can confirm that Ian Clark was not "the Boss" of the Scottish Association for Countrysports he!! did not take up his posistion as Director until last year!! David Cant may have been Director (Boss) at the time

What a crock of shit!! its just appears a load of mis-information being spouted from a disgruntled ex member?? Sac's has made its posistion clear in black and white and in some detail, see the beginning of this page, through its Director, Ian Clark, is the man a liar, or misleading anyone) exactly what the insurance covers. as for your Yorkshire, mystery man? no, it does'nt hit a nerve because!!! I don't have a feckin clue what your on about, maybe I can comment?? if you enlighten me!!! and the rest of the forum members on the matter or can't you answer a civil reply to that part of your post after all!! you posted that matter through"the site" on some-one else's behalf as a side issue?? (when I post something on some-one else's behalf I, at least put that individual's name to what's attributed to them) , just name name's and get it out in the open! and ,if there's an issue at least have the courtesy to tell me what its about?? instead of skirting round the fecking thing
