Hi

I have just returned home for a day at Pagham West Sussex RSBP bird reserve and had two sightings of a Harris hawk with yellow leather thongs on legs and leather jessie thongs attached. The bird was very tame and allowed us to stand under the tree it was in to get a very close look at it. That was when we saw it had the leg attachments. When it flew of its had bells as well. We last saw it at about 3.30pm about 1/2 mile from the RSPB information building on the reserve.

I reported the sighting to the RSPB staff but can only imagine someone out there is looking for the bird.

I hope you find it soon
