B.P.R 2,798
My rabbit skin dummy- as of today doesn't have any rabbit skin left on it. Had it from when the whippet was 7 weeks old so about 6 months now. I just looked on eBay at dummy's. Found this and just ordered one. http://item.mobileweb.ebay.co.uk/viewitem?itemId=110812290539&index=2&nav=SEARCH&nid=51815749405 Seems pretty decent to me for training. I did put the rabbits skins I got from ferreting onto the dummy with elastic bands but the whippet decided to eat the bits off it which was wrecking training sessions so had to get a new one. Anybody used anything similar? Quote Link to post

Mooch. 177
They look pretty decent and a reasonable price too if you can stop your dog eating them. I'm experimenting with making a pheasant skin dummy with head, wings and legs intact. Initial test are going well. Quote Link to post
Rhodey 96
If it won't retrieve a rabbit skin dummy with out eating it, it's not going to be much good with a real rabbit. Quote Link to post
B.P.R 2,798
It retrieves a rabbit skin dummy fine. When the dummy was fcuked I put rabbit skins wrapped round it with elastic bands. They weren't cured 100% and bits of skin were 'flappy'. The dog was tasting the inside of the skin which must be appealing because both dogs done the same. Quote Link to post
