Lamp recommendations

Im looking for someadvice on a lamp. Ive got a lightforce 170 and ive had nothin but bother with it! Just wondering what everyone's using.

Depends what you want it for and are you looking for scope mounted or handheld?

 

You won't get much better than the 170 in all honesty. Once you address the wiring issues it should be right for years but for hand held long distance foxing I prefer a blitz but you need a lampman.

I use the Deben Cyclopes, 3.5 million candle power, great lamp great value, you can pick them up for just over 40quid.

I have a light force 140 for my rifle for walking around not too heavy have it rewired of course and a dimmer switch fitted. I also have a Clulight CB2 hand held lamp as well which can be gun mounted as well, This is a great lamp good wiring very strong wont break first nock. The beam out of the light force is a bit better but I prefer the Clulight.

170 Striker id the best alround lamp IMHO, But you do have to sort the wireing out/rewireing it...

its been the wiring thats been a pain in the ass! The fuse holder melted out in the middle of nowhere, was good fun trying to make my way back to the car!!! So ive had it re wired and was out with it tonight and it sems to be working fine! Atleast it didnt try and set me on fire this time!!! haha
