Guest Corkonian
Any of ye know the price of the .22Mag Remington Premiers (the green polymer tipped ones). A fella here is looking for €25 (£17) a box - are they worth that? Any one use them? Quote Link to post
Guest Corkonian
Got a few boxes of these at 17 euro each which isn't too bad. They're lethal on rabbits - they really smash the animal up though but not much had exit wounds - better off as there's no energy wasted into the ground Got this cub yesterday evening - in the eye at 110yrds from the shoulder standing Pity I can't manage that every time 3/4 of the head was just mush but again never broke the skin - these seem like a real good round to kill quick and clean. We hunt this country with the beagles - twas they asked me to go out for a few foxes as the place is overrun with them. Quote Link to post

Guest Corkonian
:11: p***y. After paying what I did to get it threaded you'd think they'd have given a blued cap If I had one of those yokes I'd have taken it off anyway before taking a pic for the net  Saw two fallow in the 2nd next field to where I shot the fox. Great spot to lamp in the winter but it's a bit of a walk to get to the clearing. I'll show you some night anyway. Paddy: I'm thinking of changing to .22lr again. Using the subsonics and a 'can' on the end and it's much better for rabbits I think. For the few foxes I shoot the magnum isn't worth the compromise. Did ye here that the guy in the gun shop in Mallow is stocking hand guns again? Haven't been out there to verify it yet myself though. The precedent was laid a year or two back when the guy in Wicklow won his case to get his pistols back. Also the IRA disarming means everyone else can re-arm Quote Link to post
