ferreting in wiltshire

Recommended Posts

Ive got some permission near you, Tytherly. Pretty easy to pick up mate. You just need a ferret and some nets- to get you started, the other stuff comes later. Left it a bit late to be looking for a ferret, you wanna get one early in the year so its mature enough to work come winter, gives you time to bond with it too. They make great pets if you put the time in, not that they are hard to keep. I would suggest using the air gun in the summer months when ferreting isnt really practical due to growing vegetation and nursing doe`s ect. The hard bit is getting your permission, Ive been doing it on and off for 20 years and Ive not long got my first bit, but what a piece of land it is! Good luck, and I hope you get out soon.
