Have been going out with my mate an his 14 week old pat my jack is only 12 months an he works the bush the pat as got a little attitude an barks an bits my jack. my jack is good with him [bANNED TEXT] we r not in the working enviroment an just plays for hours with him but [bANNED TEXT] we get out there then my jack gets pissed an snaps at him it looks vicious but no wounds the pup doesn't give in an comes back at him except 2day he went quiet for half an hour I my self wouldn't be arsed if both dogs was mine but I feel bad coz it's not my pup. 2day it went off so I threw my jack in a pond to cool off this pup is my mates first working dog I think anyway. So I would like to here ur views my mate is also a member on here so will read this too.

Absolutely fine and normal for them to use their front teeth to give a warning nip/snap, not O.K if they're using their K9's and/or giving a shake. If the warning nip breaks the skin then so be it, my younger dog has an inch long scar on it's nose from a warning nip, it really put him in his place and it helped to establish pack order. He hasn't pushed his luck since.

To tell ya the truth it happens that fast I don't see what sort of bite it is I just no that he didn't break the skin so am assuming it was just a warning but the pup come back at him so he done it again there for it looked vicious coz it was more than one bite but I no my jack is more than capable of breaking the skin if he wanted.

Thanks for the quick response
