jasper65 6 Posted October 12, 2011 Report Share Posted October 12, 2011 just wondering what kind of heaters folks use for their mews for the winter months, whether it's a tube heater or heat lamp, read that both are used, just wondered which one is most popular cheers Never used any heating with the Harris Hawks or any other shello, I can only speak for myself but when they're perched up well of the ground in the mews they're fine. mind you I have heard some Horror stories when HH'S are teathered in their weathering when the weather is well below Minus, the simple solution for this is to cover the front of the weathering keeping out the ground frost . grovsey 74 Posted October 13, 2011 Report Share Posted October 13, 2011 i have used tube heater in the past due to the way my tetherings are set up in the muse so the lower level have tubes under the shelf perches ,but a jasp says free loft them high and keep al drafts of them u be fine or put them in giant hood and bring them in of you worried 1 Quote Link to post
