Well, funny old world we live in.:drink:

I know of a traveller in my town, who has bred, worked, bought and sold running dogs for years and years.

I dont get too involved with him, infact, the most i ever see him is about once a month, if that and thats if i bump into him in the town, shoping or what ever.

His way is, by 3 to 4 pups of very good hare coursing strane, raise them together, no training  , start them off with older dogs ect and then keep the best and sell the rest for lotsa cash. :icon_eek:

He use to only have the deer hound Grey x, now its all saluki crosses, ect and they seem to be very determined runners, hare killing muts!!

He has a big transit, piles them all in the back and takes them to a romote road and lets them out, then drives on, with them following behind steadly. This, he belives, gets them fit, road trotting a 4 mile stretch.

They seem to benifit from this thats for sure. ;)

All i can say is, their is no slackers from his training ways, they would not last long.

By the way, he does this from when they are 18 months and on.

I went coursing with this caracter twice, in all the time iv known of him and all i can say is, i was very impressed with what id seen, they really do kill hares very fast. :o The strike from these dogs, is so fast you to film it in slow motion to see.

He goes hare hunting with them from October till febuary.

Seen him in town a month ago and he showed me a pic of 9 hares cought with 2 saluki crosses in one morning?

Good luck to all :drink:

Frank.
