Mk3 M collar leather problem

Hi all,

 

i bought one of these collars at last years midland gamefair, at the end of last season i took the leather from the transmitter but it now seems the leather has swollen up and wont go through the little slots.

 

has anyone else had this problem? how can i stop this happening ? has anyone else replaced the leather with the webbing style of the MK2 & MK3 Collars.

mate i always take the leather collar out after every ferreting trip and give it and the transmitter clean and the collar goes back in with out any problems the same collar would last me a good season or two

clean the collers with baby oil keeps the leather right and the water out should last a lot longer . coller last me 3 or 4 seasons
