Training dog

Recommended Posts

Never too late, he might not be the best but if has the instinct to chase he'll soon get the idea.

Now i'm a complete novice but i've got my youngster (9 months & 1st lurcher) looking down the beam, was pretty easy with her.

I know she'll chase rabbits daytime so i took her out with the lamp, found a squatter and keeping the beam on it i walked her forward on the slip, she looked everywhere except down the beam until we were pretty close and the bunny got up, the second it moved the dog clocked it and i slipped her, she gave chase.

Since then she got the idea when i had the beam on and walked her up it there was a bunny there and she focuses in straight away and is keen to go.

You could also try throwing his toy and lighting it up with the beam, walk him up to it and when he spots it llet him go giving a fetch command, he'll soon get the idea that there's fun to be had at the end of the lamp
