RogerTheCat 3
About 5 or 6 weeks ago I put my application in to Devon and Cornwall police for a 22 Rim Fire. I had the visit today and it all went ok and was told I should be getting my licence in 4 or 5 weeks. I asked the firearms lady if I could use the 22 to shoot foxes as my farmer has seen 9 in the past few weeks. She said that they no longer consider 22 rim fire a (I think she used the word) humane calibre so if I shot at and only wounded a fox I could be prosecuted. She then went on to say I ought to get a variation to include on my licence a centre fire 222 or 223 for fox. She suggested I apply as she thought I would get it. So I am going to apply so instead of looking forward to buying one rifle I am now looking at two. Quote Link to post
