Help valuing a couple of guns

Recommended Posts

With the wealth of information on the site, I thought I'd have an ask and see if anyone has any ideas as to the value of a couple of guns.

Firstly, I have an old Webley Vulcan in .22. Works well, and all is in good condition. There is no pitting in or on the barrel, and it seems to run a decent power level. The barrel is nice and straight and the safety works perectly. I also have the original styrofoam box and lid, instructions and even the original target and pellet tin (now sadly empty) that it came with. Roughly how much would you expect one of these to fetch retail, and what would be a good trade-in value?

The other gun, which I am considering buying/part exing the Webley for (I have a WMR slot on my FAC), is a Winchester lever action in .22WMR. The condition is good, no scratches to the action and it cycles faultlessly. It seems a fairly modern gun, I think the model may be a 255, but don't quote me on that. It has a dovetail milled into the receiver for a scope to be mounted. The stock is a slightly gaudy laminated wood affair (I'd hope to replace this, but it's not too bad) which has a very minor dent in the side of the butt section. Any ideas as to the value of a gun such as this?

Any input gratefully received. If it'll help I will take some pics of the Webley, and will try and get some pics of the Winchester from the seller.
