A 1st for me!

Hi everyone, just thought i'd share a new experience for me and wondered if any of you had come across the same or anything similar. On going to see my pup for the 1st time when he was 3 weeks the dam let me fuss her and handle the pups, i also viewed the grandma who also let me fuss her. I then viewed them at 4 1/2 week when i took my deposit, again the dam was fine but the grandma was giving me some tongue but from a distance. I then went when the pups were six week old, the dam was out on the yard but the pups were under a chep pallet being guarded by the grandma and boy was she on 1, not coming out but showing me her full set of gnashers so i left it at that (lol). Then after a phone call from the breeder i went to pick the pup up when he was 7 weeks, he had to put them in a stable cos they were running riot on the farm, the dam was out on the yard again but to my amazement the grandma was letting the pups suckle her even though she was dry. On passing comment about her the breeder also told me another 1st for me, that when she had her litter she used to re-girgitate food for her pups at the end of the weaning stage going back to the old earth dog times.
