Guest GoneToGround1
going to try and trap a few squirrels i got cage traps just wondering what bait works best and anything else that makes trapping them more succesful like filling the trap with something, covering the trap etc, pics would be great...thanks Quote Link to post
Ron Weasley 83
Squirrels are easy to trap mate. I've caught them in cages using peanuts and bird seed. Stake the trap down though, because they'll go for the bait from underneath. Quote Link to post
billbroon 9
Hi mate just peg trap under a tree or next to tree stump, i baited mine with maze. Got 53 in 20 days. Not bad for 15 traps. Billy Quote Link to post

6pointer 1
Maize is ideal, if thereare a lot of pheasants in the area its agood idea to place the trap up a tree, cut a piece of board the same size as the floor of the cage and wire it onto the bottom of the trap a bird feeder will also do, just holds the bait, knock a couple of nails into the tree and simply hook the trap onto nails. Pre bait for a few days will get the using the trap.... 6pointer Quote Link to post
