blan89 159
im all for small government, freedom and personal responsibility. are there any negatives to this way of thinking?
foxfan 479
Libertarianism, it would seem to me that it just gives the corporate juggernauts free rein to exploit people, without having to go through the hassle of bribing governments first. So i dont see it as any sort of solution, just more of the same with little or no accountability.
Mooch. 177
Every single social, political and religious ideal, past, present and future, suffers from the same negative element - human greed. Those who have power want to keep hold of it and possibly increase it. Those that don't have power want to take it from those that do.

You have just described fascism. And you are right. But this will only happen when a people become dis-interested in how their government acts, or distracted by 'bread and circuses' . . . . .hmm, sounds familiar. . . . . Libertarians can't realy tell you what they want or give a definative description of their ideology, my guess is we would just end up with another type of marxism. We already have everything in place that we need for small govnt and personal responsibility, if only people were made aware of it. It's called the Magna Carta, the Bill of Rights, and Common Law. blan89 159
true but lots of people dont want a small government they want to give it more power to solve the problems its caused, libertarians dont seem to want create a new government just strip back the powers of the one we have and the laws like you said are in place to do this,so it would make sense to use them rather than try to make new ones.
