Forget the bleddie mink, I now have an even bigger job!! On our newly aqqired shooting/ferreting permssion on a nice mansion in the Gloucestershire countryside, the landowner has said he will apy us for every squirrel we cath using any method possible, We pan to shoot them with the air rifles but i will be setting a few on my fenns around. Any of you boys or girls who have experiance with squirrel controll tips and or advice would be apprieceted!

Hound; If ye on a bit of a tight budget there, and after tree rats? A tip and a hint, mate:

Whole (Unkibbled) Maize is a lot cheaper than nuts ;) Also, know that squirrels are bolshy little b*stards and not at all shy or 'crafty' as rats are. Thus they can be taken in the most rudimentary of traps. One of the most effective and simple traps ever marketed was Jack Legg's " Midget ". Quite easy to create ye own of that sort. Just get some medium weight welded mesh of half inch and a bit of floor board. Form a shortish tunnel on top of the board and just provide a standard, push up flap door. Peg the traps down or they're liable to rolling once they get one.

Experiment around that idea and ye'll be coming back from ye prowls to find some waiting for ye. Get to fire that air rifle then too! :D
