Guest valley2010 Posted May 30, 2011 Report Share Posted May 30, 2011 i have had red for just over a month now he is 9 months today what a dog he is so switched on i been taking him once a week in my local national park where i have got permission to hunt rabbits i just go for a walk throught there in the day and then go and do about 4 mile road walk on the lead with him to keep him up on his toes each and every day i do that road walk and to build muscle cause as you all know salukis feet are quite flat he is a deerhound x grayhound x saluki x grayhound i was told. i think he could be quarter saluki or half what you recon boys. well any way back to rabbits i walked through the park the last 2 times and he is off when he sees the rabbit he dives in to the bush after them ect and is lurning to cut them off he can be quite igronant when he wants to be but i was told thats salukis for you lol, but he is listening well and coming back to recall and brings dummie back to your hand and i have only had him for 1 month i think hes going to be a good dog i bought him with the intenchons of when hes about 2 - 2 half for D,F AND OBUSLY ALL THE TIME R AND H i will start him off at 10 - 12 months old thats about the right time isint it cause i dont want to spoil him his bones havnt developed or anything till about then have they he is 27 tts what you recon of him now boys look forward to your replys thanks for your help dan Quote Link to post
J.DOG 1,355 Posted May 30, 2011 Report Share Posted May 30, 2011 Nice dog that mate and yes salukis are stubborn mine is a little sh*t he is a topa dog though mine is a deerhound/ greyhound X saluki he has all the feathered ears and tail I think your dog is a quater saluki , he looks very confident.
