marlin rifles

hi my grandfather uses a marlin 795 .22 semi auto and was wondering if anyone else uses marlin rifles and what you think of them?i recently found him 2 25 shot banana mags that dont fit (even though the parts number states they fit his model.has anyone else had any problems with marlin or is it just me???

I'd not other with one unless you wanted a lever gun then marlin are the way to go, they're much like Savage I think, cheap and cheerful, I'd probably put them slightly lower down the food chain the CZ ANschutz etc, they judt look a bit "agricultural" and a bit clunky, I bet they shoot fine, but for my tastes, I'd go for something else

i shoot a marlin semi auto .22 cant remember of hand the model.

 

its got few faults. my one hates subs but it was never made for subs it says so in the manual. it has a tube magazine fixed under the barrel that take 15 rounds but more than ten or so and the hollow heads flatten a bit. and there is not really an option to shorten the barrel. but those aside it gets thrown in and out the truck bounced about and only cleaned every 500 rounds or so and never misses a beat never loses zero is light and shoots better than me. It has accounted for 1000's bunnies over the years. paid £40 for it in 1998. You couldn't buy it of me now.............. wouldn't part with it!

i wos thinking of buying marlin xs7 308 i have a tikka t3 lite 243 . are the marlin any good
