LDR 29
Had my dog to the vets today, robbing b*****ds, charged £75 to tell me what i already knew and give the dog an injection, gotta take him back tomorrow for x rays, to check for any fractures he might have!!! £75 is what my excess is and the other half has paid that today, whats the next step with regards to claiming for the rest of the treatment, am i meant to pay the vets for all the treatment and then claim back off the insurance, or say i've paid the excess and the insurance pays the vets direct for the rest of the treatment? I'll know in the morning when i ring the insurance company, but thought i'd ask before one of the fuckers treis to tuck me up!!!!
mad al 146
I'd say you've paid the £75 excess and you will now have to pay for the rest of the treatment and then claim it back off your insurance. Make sure you get a receipt for every payment you make and duplicate anything you have to hand over to the insurance company. Keep a record of all your correspondence/transactions relating to this and make sure you get every penny back. I am thinking this is a new injury/ailment and your dog has not been treated for this before?.........Al :thumbs-up:
Guest Ditch_Shitter
My Bro's experiance was that he had to shell out on the spot. Insurance coughed up for it all further down the line. I'm sorry, I don't know who he used. Policies may differ? PS: I'll bet, if that Dog wasn't insured, they'd just feel it and watch how it moved, to tell if it had any 'Fractures'. I tell you DS, I went to the vets with my eldest Rottie lame, gut feeling was arthritis, as she seemed to be hurting bout the same time as me (got a fair bit of it!), cost me fecking ££££££'s to be told I was right, then they charged me a tenner on top for tablets that I take everyday FOC!!!! I guess that's life though............Al :thumbs-up:
