I have a MK 3 for the ferts, does the job moreless, spot on over each time, but the depth can be a wee bit out, thats where my probe comes into effect. ;)

I never had the MK 1, would love to use it, just to compare it to the MK 3, if i had the cash, to buy one off e.bay, have you seen what they go fo on their?? :icon_eek:

If anyone out their has a MK 1 box and collar they dont want and want to give it away :D , give us a bell. ;)

The only thing I've heard about the MK3 being bad is they aren't waterproof. I've also heard the batteries can be hard to find depending on where you live. Other than that they are spot on, some say extremely accurate.

I just tried my LRT for practice... first time last night. At first it confused me, but that was because the instructions are a bit vague... yet not. You HAVE TO touch the nose of the reciever to the collar to Activate the magnetic switch in the collar... otherwise it bleeps like hell and then nothing. :icon_redface::D Once I figured that out... it was a Cake Walk. :thumbs-up: If you're blind... you can find with it. If you're deaf... you can find with it. Its THAT Easy. And Yes... you can turn the sound off with them if it bothers you. I jhust put my thumb over the speaker. The LRT is not really all that pricey when you compare it to the B&F at about 300 pounds ($600 USD)... although I've heard the B&F will read a larger distance. I tested the LRT last night starting at over 30 feet away... led me right to the collar that my girlfriend hid from me. I can't wait to get on a hunt with it! :clapper:

They are waterproof, as far as i know, as a mate droped one in a river few weeks ago :o and it floated down stream with him in hot pursuit

When he eventually got it back, he took it apart and dryd it, put it back together and it was working grand, fecking amazing :icon_eek:
