end of season

After a few weeks of not being out and due to the weather, plus my lil beddie whippet bitch my right arm when out ferreting hasnt long had pups i checked the weather for the weekend and the news was good. I invited a guy out to tag along who purchased one of my pups off me to come and see the mother in action so off to it we went. We arrived at the 1st burrie and bang we had a mark , I used the experienced hob for the first part of the day and i thought id try the young jill in a few easy burries. Anyway down went the hob i stood the other side of the fence with tess the beddie whippet and soon enough BUMP BUMP and out he came over the fence tess went and i dont think i counted to 5 and the 1st one was in the bag, I looked up at my guest with a smile on my face and he gave me a nod . I stumbled across a few new burries but no marks. futher on the farm tess then shocked even myself when she caught a pheasant in the cover and brought it back with a grin on her face as if to say i think im fit again boss ha ha. Any way we had to more rabbits in the bag when my young jill killed in a nice easy dig of half a foot wich will bring her on heeps and bounds and a futher kill in from the hob wich i didnt even have to dig for was a case of stick your hand up the bolt hole and pull him out. On the next burry another mark this time no nets again and i decided to let my younger beddie whippet wasp have a go this time the rabbit turned her once but not again, i dont know if it was the whole exitment for the day but she took a little longer than useual to bring it back never the less shes started to show promise in comeing as good as her auntie tess. So with that 4 bunnies and a pheasant and we even had a few more burries to try but its not the biggest of farms and it is late in the season so think we guna leave them alone now til next season but i was impresses with tess for her 1st time out since the pups and i think i had a happy customer and im sure wel be having a few more outings next sesaon to bring tesses pup on.
