Dan; Elma's actually hit the nail on the head there, mate :good: To expand it a little;

I'm no 'security expert', but I've listened to those who need to be. It's all about Layers. Alarms can be by passed. Dogs taken out. Lights are no use by day. See what I'm saying? So any man would be foolish to rely on just One Layer - or, indeed, to rely on Any level of protection, as is. The rule is that all ye measures combined are only there to buy You time, so that YOU may respond to the threat.

I'd just add to that to think of ye Perimeters. If the bad man can walk up ye drive to ye garage, he's there and working on that garage. So, ye stop him at the gate. Right there on the outer boundry of ye property. See?

If he gets past ye gates and fences (which should already be alerting you to the fact that he's arrived), you'll know he's, eg. probably now having to tackle ye Dog. And, ye'll know, that once he neutralises the Dog, he'll be exposed to ..... and so on.

But none of this will prove worth a jot if YOU aren't by now well aware and are racing to neutralise Him.

We can't Stop a determined b*stard. But we can sure as hell slow him down till we come to say hullo on our own terms ;)

One other thing, mate; Please don't bother with the usual idiotic suggestions such as wiring things to the mains circuit :rolleyes:

Now go check Google. And for pitys sake keep ye plans completely to yeself! First rule of Security. Secrecy :good:
