jultaylor1972 2 Posted January 26, 2011 Report Share Posted January 26, 2011 In August last year I ended up acquiring two black labs, one is eight and the other is 2 and a half years old. Now, Im a terrier and lurcher girl and regularly go rabbiting. The large black lab bitch is wasted here as I have no interest in the type of work labs do - may sound awful but Im just being honest. All four of my dogs go for walks every day but my terrier and lurcher are my working dogs. The black lab is wasted potential for working here with me, she has 32 field trial champions on her 5 generation pedigree. Both dam and sire were working dogs. Now, I could easily keep her as a pet which is what she was when I moved in but I'd like to give her a fighting chance as a worker. She is kenneled and is of sound character.
