whats needed in a lurcher...how meny lurcher lads or lasses get the best out of there dog.some dont want them to retreve,if they are just out to kill foxes why do they need to retreve?now how meny fox dogs can also do rabbits?dont be silly lads be honest,by that i mean a fox dog that will do meny in one night then the next night,ect ect,but that same dog wont be able to run a few hare's on lamp to gun or rabbits in great numbers on lamp or retreve rabbits or game,there is not meany about?true old fashioned pot fillers what can walk to heal on lamp with no lead,take a night at fox control,lamp rabbits with out crunching everyone,go out with ferrets nd terriers without killing terrier ferret or smashing nets to bits,put a fair show on a day time hare to guns even catch one or two.no matter what cross it is as ive had meny crosses of lurcher?so who wants or has a dog of this stamp these days?nd how old is the lurcher?come on lurcher folk,tell me you have one?I would like to hear about your dogs please

IF , there is such dogs about i have never seen 1 to the standard you mention and IMHO there wont be many that will do everything, i have seen dogs that can take 3/4 fox a night single handed (preban) and then the next time out take rabbits in good numbers but as said before a allrounder is a dog that will do average at most jobs i.e ferreting,lamping,daytime,digging but not a marster at any 1 task and a dog that has been bred for 1 thing and worked at that 1 job/quarry will marster that job but hardy ever make an allrounder IMO there is no such dog as an perfect 100% allrounder, most dog excell more at 1 specific task , I always say ASLONG AS YOUR HAPPY WITH YOUR DOG then thats the main thing, ATB L.M
