percho50 46
well just wonder how old do you start coursing breed dogs,do you hunt them most days give them the odd run, double them up,I have a 14 month old lurcher coming on well, would bring him out most days and get him used to fences and that,he is a daytime dog only, and is. Showing good signs but don't want to over run him, give him one or two slips at most what you'd think Quote Link to post
percho50 46
Is it to much to work a dog 4 days in a week giving him 2 to 3 slips along with another dog or maybe single, what you'd think be in small enough fields just trying to teach him,on wire fences gates etc,is more better or less for a dog aged 14 months anyone Quote Link to post
pikesta 54
perfect age mate... double him up a few times and when you think hes ready give him 1 on his own. if he does we'll then go from there. if not jus give him more time. by the way mate what cross/breed is he? Quote Link to post
