Guest crobinc840
ive got 3 ferrets housed above our daughters pet rabbit, neither animals give a shite about the other Yep .Rabbits ,chickens ,ducks ,guinea pigs, game bird poults, dogs the odd cat and a whole lot more have shared my garden over the years with ferrets . You just don't let em mix ! A somewhat respected but sadly now ex-member of this site used to keep "House ferrets" and pet rats . That did turn out to be a mistake !. As to wild and tame rabbits smelling differently .They probably do as they live different lifestyles. A ferret though will still be pretty keen to investigate any little animal regardless of species . I had a lurcher that would play chase round the garden with my daughter's pet English rabbit . If the dog gave up the bunny would start running up to the dog to start the game again . In fact i've never had a dog that touched any of the pet buns . They know the difference . Ferrets are'nt quite so bright. Lucky bunny, I had a rottie x lab pup that would play with the bunnies till one day he decided they were meant to be killed. Anytime you have pets that in nature would be on opposite ends of the food chain they need to be protected well. Quote Link to post
