Herrings for dogs?

Just seen the thread here feeding dogs sprats.

So was wondering, is it ok to feed whole raw herrings?

As they are larger, they would have bigger sharp bones?

I feed sardines in tins with tomato sauce, but the herrings would work out cheaper for me.

hi martin, i wouldn't worry about feeding the dogs raw herring, if you have them feed them, i used to feed them and mackerel to my dogs, i havn't been out sea fishing this year or i would still be feeding them the mackerel as they loved it, cheers......john

Thanks very much John.

I have not been sea fishing for a long time my self, use to enjoy the craic.

Prehaps this summer ill go again if i get the time.
