farlap 19
any one have any ornange county foxhounds or blue tick houns from america and are they any good friend of mine has a blue tick that actually was bred in south africa and then brought to the uk, he does a lot of tracking and before he was retired he was a trained sniffer dog in a port, looking for stowaways. Great dogs but hard to handle. Quote Link to post
mart 131
know that the finns use so called american foxhounds for wolfhunting, which sounds pretty insane to me as most hounds up here get eaten by them. was out hunting lynx with a blue tick in feb/mars, it had a horrible voice imo, and when the cat went up some rocks the hound did`nt have the brains to go around them, just stood at the foot giving tounge. pretty annoying when its -20 degrees celsius, 6 foot of snow and you have to walk a mile and a half to get your £20000 dog. lesson is stick to the breeds bred for the terrain that you hunt Quote Link to post
