Guest Macnas
If remmy is able to sell what he makes, then more power to him. Whether or not they fit your ideal as a hunting knife has nothing to do with his making or selling knives. As a hobby craftsman myself, I really enjoy seeing others progress in whatever field they have the talent for, so I am happy for remmy and wish him every encouragement. Until I had actually held one of his knives in my hand, I wouldn’t consider myself qualified to comment on how suitable I thought it for whatever purpose I had in mind for it. And even at that, it would be a matter of opinion. If you want to pass on some hard earned knowledge, then I think you should reconsider the manner in which you do so. Nobody will want to listen if they feel they are being insulted. Lastly, I do not consider it my job to help anyone here. If I can do so, then it's my pleasure, and I'll try my upmost to do it in a way that does not sound condescending and ill mannered. Quote Link to post

If Remmy is going to make money from a hobby he will need to take criticism. The knifes were advertised as hunting knifes/! 2. If you are a crafts man your self you would realise that encouragement down the wrong road will only hurt some one. With regards dunoon David i havnt a clue what your talking about. But you do know me and what i have said here i will say to your face . 3. I do not need to hold a knife to see if it fits the criteria of a hunting stalking knife. With regards the steel etc that is used it would make no difference if the design is wrong. (MY OPINION ) 4. Like i said before the criticism was given through PM Remmy brought it to the site. Also while it is nice to get all of your good opinions on the knife. For some reason it is wrong for me to state the obvious failing of the tool for the purposes of hunting and stalking. Extremely hypocritical of you. I will now change my opinion of the knife and say its great and i hope any one that uses it looses there fingers. 5. I also do not consider it my personal job to inform others of the rights and wrongs in hunting that is why i said the forums job. ! Remmy with regards dunoon i dont have the faintest of what your talking about. But you do know of me i also know a few of our other stalking associates. ( SHREK ) What a site ps if you fancy a beer just pm me i can assure you i wont put up what you write on the main board that would be childish and wrong. Quote Link to post

Guest Macnas
This, is geting rather stupid. With respect to your bullet points: 1. Caveat emptor, and If you don't like them, don't buy them. 2. I agree to a point, but one can encourage someone down the right road as well, without insulting them. 3. The benifit of the doubt, is a vital ingredient in civil society. 4. Now you're just being childish. 5. You seem, to me at any rate, to be doing just that, and in a grating manner. This is, at the end of things, between yourself and remmy, and things seem to be getting personal so I'll leave you too it. Quote Link to post
Guest Deerstalker
Macnas i have no beef with anyone and do not wish to continue this on the boards as you say it is childishness . AS said before i didn't want it on the boards and as i have sent David a PM explaining that an opinion is just that. With regards letting others know of the pit falls in all aspects of field sport be it knifes rifles dogs etc WHAT ON EARTH IS WRONG WITH THAT. i would expect an honest answer if i ask a question and i would also expect that answer to be backed up with reasons. Rubbing people up the wrong way is that from telling the truth Macnas or would i need to be like the many and clap my hands in support for a tool that has failing and is on sale to the general public. Guest Deerstalker
The knife might be good for bush craft that's not what i am into. That's not what the knife was getting promoted as. Ray Mears ! Well there you have it. Like i said in PM .It is only an opinion that's all now if you make a really good useful knife i will be the first to say so. All the best ...
