Blue one 89
Personally, i would get a pup, unless you can see the dog that is for sale run a few nights and i mean a few nights, not just the one, as some problems in dogs, dont all ways show them self straight away. A pup, off a well known strain that has been worked for generations, is the best option in my opinion, good luck. Quote Link to post
minzy 16
hi mate i think the first x collie/grey are a very good breed for lamping/ferreting .can be a bit strong headed at time but carnt every breed and as the other lads said ask the bloke if you can take the dog out a few time before you decide here is a thew pic's for you of my 1st x collie/grey 17months only. hare shot and retrieve.. she had never bin on the lamp when i picked her up at 8months old she had done abit of ferreting i started lamping her at 9/10months this will be her first season and she is doing well so far all people have diffrent opinions so do what you think is right when you have seen this dog run Edited October 19, 2010 by minzy Quote Link to post
Trigger 26
can be excellent dogs mate, the only real problems with some of them is when worked hard some have a tendancy to stalk there quarry in the beem, pic and choose there runs alot which is not always a bad thing and you find that there are a few out there that are not over blessed with bottle. but as i have said alot can and do make great dogs i would have a demenstration first if i was you. atb trigger Quote Link to post
