deerhond puppy exercise

Can anyone advise me on how much exercise a deerhound pup should be allowed ? he is 9 months old and has endless amounts of energy but dont want to overdo it.

As much as it can handle, but not forced.

 

My bitch at 9 months was doing an hour an half to two hours,

but lot of the time she was charging round with the other dogs

then would rest for a bit.

depends on what you mean by excercise. For formal excercise,we allow 5 minutes per month.....so 45 minutes at this stage of actual "out for a walk", but then some free running (not with adults) during the day in our field.
