jjfergus 30
Can anyone advise me on how much exercise a deerhound pup should be allowed ? he is 9 months old and has endless amounts of energy but dont want to overdo it. Quote Link to post
Guest chook
As much as it can handle, but not forced. My bitch at 9 months was doing an hour an half to two hours, but lot of the time she was charging round with the other dogs then would rest for a bit. Thers some info on exercise on this link. http://www.fernhill.com/about-deerhounds/deerhound-character/ Quote Link to post
farlap 19
depends on what you mean by excercise. For formal excercise,we allow 5 minutes per month.....so 45 minutes at this stage of actual "out for a walk", but then some free running (not with adults) during the day in our field.
