the ratcatcher 1
you say u wudnt recomend one as a hunting dog well surely a lot of people must have worked greyhound because in most lurchers greyhound is the main thing used so oviously they must be getting worked to be bred to or am i rong ?? if i am right many years ago it was illegal for the common man to own and use a running dog such as the greyhound and that is why they started to cross breed them and came up with the lurcher if im wrong ill stand corrected but i rescued an ex track greyhound i think she was about 25/26 tts lemon and white the first day i got it i was driving home but had to call on a rat job and this dog had 6 rat before i could blink and that last one she got was the biggest ive ever seen. i tried them to the fence so the guy would know i had been and caught them, the next day i call on him and he hadnt seen them straight away but he was sat down milking his goat and looked up when he saw them and jumped backward knocking his milk over the floor and he saud it wasnt the fact of the rats it was the shear size of the big one Quote Link to post
