Define "cheap"... Cheap and wildlife photography are not words you would normally use in the same sentence :no:

 

Rather depends on the wildlife, how close you can get to them, and how much you are prepared to spend... I'd suggest a secondhand DSLR and if you're on a tight budget, a lens in the 70-300 range, or if you have a bit more cash to spare get a 300 or 400mm prime lens. A compact or a bridge camera with a good zoom might do the job but it depends on what sort of image quality you're looking for and bear in mind the fact that they are rubbish when it comes to moving targets because of the slow focusing and shutter lag.

Even if you are just starting out I'd advise getting the best kit you can possibly afford rather than losing money on it when you decide you want to upgrade to something which will do the job better.
