whippeter69 88 Posted September 11, 2010 Report Share Posted September 11, 2010 Went to do a bit of lamping on a permission that i hadn't been on since 09. The farmer has got a few chickens and the fox regularly takes one or two. So i grabbed my 20bore 4 BBs and my mate picked me up. We lamped all around the place and this land is very hilly and boggy, we got to a small pond which is at the bottom of this dip we climbed to the top side of the dip and started calling, literally 2 mins after i started calling, a box was belting it up where we had just been walking, he hammering it up the hill now and he pops his chest over the brow and i let him have some of my 28g BBs. Hes hit and runs about 100 yards before dropping dead, we go down to see our kill and its a nice young dog fox. My mate turns the lamp back up 2 where we came from and theres another just sat there watching us. But this fox was having none of it, he didn't want to come in, just sat there. But we had a good night, a very wet one but still a good result. Quote Link to post
