Mossdog 27
Yes - it's a serious forum for working terrier owners and I'm inviting you to a fun dog show! We (Irish Terrier Rescue) are holding our Ginger Fun Day on 5th September at 10.30am, Scarisbrick Village Hall, Smithy Lane, Scarisbrick near Ormskirk. It's a small, friendly little show with the Best Puppy, Best Veteran, Best Rescue and Best Condition all judged on how soundly made and physically fit the dogs are - so I for one would love to welocome a few working dogs After that, we have silly classes, like waggiest tail, sausage-catching, rat-catchers' relay etc. (don't worry - you can come in disguise if you wish ) BUT - here's the thing............it's £3 for adults, £1.50 for under 16s and pensioners and you can bring as many dogs as you like and enter as many classes - which means you can bring the family for a reasonably priced day out and keep the kids amused (we have burgers and chips too) Please come and support us if you can - it's a chance to show how well cared for and fit your dogs are
Toka 10
Thanks for the invite Mossdog...it is about as local as you can get to us!!! We thoroughly enjoyed the day out amongst a real variety of dogs and owners. Came away with a couple of good books and Bill got best in show....not for any outstanding performances more for Amber wanting him in every single class he could with her. A good bit of publicity for the breed, and it shows that not everything need be as serious as in the Plummer world at the moment. Some really nice comments and interest from other owners! I will post up photos of the afternoon once they are uploaded! Atb
